As a craft blogger I've always found that there is a difficult balance between lingering on the internet getting inspired about things to make, and actually doing some making. I could spend hours window shopping materials, reading blogs, cruising Flickr, researching on Ravelry and Sewing Circle, or now Pinning inspiring ideas. Or, instead of just thinking about it, I could spend my time actively making and creating, and then spend some more time documenting it so that others can see it and (hopefully) be inspired too.
Right now, I'm finding that I'm being drawn to the active crafting side of things. I'm way behind on reading friends blogs and flickr streams, and pinning activity has dwindled. I'm so engrossed in crafting (and other aspects of life) that I'm also falling behind on photographing and sharing what I've been up to too. Vague thoughts of dropping out of blogging have flitted though my mind, but I'm not ready to make a firm call on that just yet. We'll see how it goes, and whether the urge (and opportunity) to blog more regularly returns.
Today at least, I have something I want to share, and I managed to catch a few shots of it this morning, after finishing off the seaming last night. A hoodie for C. He loves it and wore it to Grannie's house today. I think he looks gorgeous in it and am very pleased with how it turned out. More details here.
