In keeping with my ongoing obsession with spotted fabrics I wanted to create a jumbo sized honeycomb spot. The spacing was important to make it work. After musing on how to achieve it I decided to draw a chalk grid and stamp with a carrot.
It didn't take too long, and I actually found the stamping quite meditative. There were some leftover bits but I think I need to plan another evening for quiet, contemplative, carrot stamping because I'm so pleased with the results. Regular (although not perfect) and bold (yet subtly textured).

Hope my fellow swappers like it too.

I shall never look at a carrot the same again. Brilliant! (she types, she being a fan of the regular (although not perfect) and bold (yet subtly textured)).
ReplyDeleteLooks great! love that you used a carrot :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic, what fun you must have had and how impatient you must be to get your 4 fat quarters! I would like to be part of something like this, one of these days.
ReplyDeleteI do love your spotted fabric, the texture is very nice and the uneven colour of the dots gives a lot of interest.
